Asia University continues to strengthen its global academic partnerships. On March 20, Mariusz Glabowski, Deputy Director of International Affairs, and Professor Anna Kobusinska from the Department of Computer Science at Poznań University of Technology (Poland) visited Asia University. During their visit, Asia University President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai signed a MOU on behalf of the university, fostering deeper academic research exchanges and paving the way for more substantial collaboration initiatives.

President Tsai highlighted that Asia University, the youngest university in Taiwan, is committed to internationalization and has been recognized in four major global university rankings. With its international ranking steadily rising, Asia University continues to build partnerships with renowned universities worldwide to enhance academic and research capabilities. As part of its “AI University” initiative,Asia University has been at the forefront of semiconductor education, launching an industry-academia program 15 years ago that has trained hundreds of senior engineers. Many of these graduates have gone on to work for leading global companies, including Apple in Germany and Qualcomm in the United States.

The collaboration with Poznań University of Technology marks a significant milestone in AU’s globalization efforts, further reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and international cooperation.

Mariusz Glabowski, Deputy Director of International Affairs at Poznań University of Technology (PUT), introduced the university as one of Poland’s leading technical institutions, established in 1955. Many of its graduates have gone on to work at Microsoft in the United States. The university consists of 10 faculties and serves over 20,000 students. PUT is also part of the European Union’s Erasmus Program, which enhances academic exchanges among European students. Glabowski expressed his admiration for Asia University’s (AU) research achievements in AI, semiconductors, and smart technology and looked forward to deeper collaboration between the two institutions.

Dean Ching-Hsien Hsu of AU’s College of Information and Electrical Engineering highlighted the key initiatives outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). These include student exchange programs, research collaborations, and international academic conferences. Additionally, both universities are exploring a "3+2" dual-degree program, allowing AU students to complete three years of study at AU and then pursue two years at PUT to earn a master’s degree. This initiative will not only expand students' global perspectives but also enhance AU’s influence in the international academic community.

Dean Ching-Hsien Hsu further emphasized that the partnership will encourage faculty and researcher exchanges, deepen joint research efforts, and actively pursue international research funding. The collaboration aims to strengthen technological cooperation, industry-academia connections, and multidisciplinary academic and cultural exchange activities. By fostering a globally competitive academic environment, the initiative will create diverse learning and research opportunities for both faculty and students.
