To further strengthen engagement with industry partners, Asia University recently formed a visiting delegation comprising administrative and faculty representatives to visit Contrel Technology Co., Ltd. for a site tour and meeting. During the visit, both parties exchanged views on potential industry–academia collaboration and issues related to talent development.
The delegation was led by Vice President Jun-Jie Huang of Asia University, accompanied by Assistant Professor Ying-Jung Ho. Through on-site discussions, the delegation gained deeper insights into the company’s development direction and the current industrial landscape. The visit was hosted by President Tsan-Jen Chen of Contrel Technology, who provided an overview of the company’s operations and future development outlook.
Contrel Technology has long been dedicated to the field of semiconductor automation equipment and system integration. Serving a wide range of industries, the company is committed to helping enterprises enhance process efficiency and production management capabilities, and has accumulated extensive practical experience and application achievements within the industry.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in broad discussions on industry development trends, the alignment between academic training and practical workforce needs, talent development environments, and possible forms of collaboration between universities and industry. The discussions focused on experience sharing and the exchange of perspectives and remain at an exploratory stage, without involving any specific collaboration arrangements.
Asia University noted that the institution has long placed great importance on interaction with industry, and that on-site visits and exchanges help the university better understand industry dynamics, serving as an important reference for future talent cultivation and educational planning.
Contrel Technology also expressed its willingness to maintain communication with academic institutions, emphasizing that continued interaction helps foster mutual understanding. Any potential collaboration directions may be evaluated further should suitable opportunities arise in the future.
The visit was conducted as an exchange of views, with both parties expressing their expectation to maintain ongoing communication, deepen mutual understanding, and establish a solid foundation for possible future industry–academia collaboration.
