Dr. Lisa T. Su currently serves as the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.). She is an elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. A leading scientist in semiconductor technologies and high-performance processors, she is also the recipient of the Robert N. Noyce Medal, the most prestigious honor in the semiconductor industry.

Dr. Su serves on U.S. President Joe Biden’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) and has been recognized as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women, an honoree of the International Peace Awards, one of Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women, and a recipient of Barron’s Best CEO in the World award. Degree Title: Doctor of Engineering, Honoris Causa

Citation of Achievements:
Mr. Barry Lam was born in 1949 in Shanghai. During his graduate studies, he collaborated with classmates to develop Taiwan’s first computer, an accomplishment that earned him the First Youth Medal awarded by the Executive Yuan. He later founded Quanta Computer Inc., dedicating himself to pioneering research and design in information technology—achievements that have been widely recognized by the media and the international community. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Quanta Group and was honored with the Order of Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon (Second Class) by the Office of the President in 2015.

Chairman Lam has long been a visionary leader in the technology sector and is equally passionate about the arts and humanities. He founded the Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation, using art as a medium to build diverse learning platforms that inspire creativity among young students. His outstanding accomplishments in technological innovation and his dedicated contributions to cultural and educational advancement make him an exemplary model for both faculty and students.

張忠謀Name: Morris Chang

Degree Title: Doctor of Engineering, Honoris Causa

Citation of Achievements:
Mr. Morris Chang was born in 1931 in Ningbo, Zhejiang. In 1964, he earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has served as Vice President of Texas Instruments, President of General Instrument Corporation in the United States, President of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Chairman of Taiwan Development Corporation, and Senior Advisor to the President of Taiwan.

In 1986, he founded Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and has served as both Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, continuing to hold the position of Chairman. Mr. Chang has been a steadfast advocate of innovation, believing that “continuous innovation is the iron rule for maintaining competitiveness and the lifeline of industry.” Under his visionary leadership, Taiwan’s semiconductor industry has flourished, and his profound contributions to the nation and society have earned widespread respect and recognition.

Citation of Achievements:
Mr. Bruce Cheng was born in 1936 in Fujian, China, and graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. In 1971, he founded Delta Electronics, dedicating the company to the development and manufacturing of switching power supplies, power management solutions, electronic components, display and visualization systems, industrial automation, network communications, and new energy products. Under his leadership, Delta has established a global presence and earned an outstanding international reputation. Mr. Cheng has received numerous honors, including the Corporate Social Responsibility Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award.

A strong advocate for environmental protection, Mr. Cheng has long promoted the concept of green architecture and actively supported various environmental initiatives.
