Dr. Hsin-Yuan Tsai, Chairman of InnoWise Technologies, recently visited the Smart Semiconductor Design and Sustainable Manufacturing Research Center at Asia University. Dr. Tsai previously served as Director of the Mechanical and Systems Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and brings over 40 years of experience in the precision machinery and semiconductor industries.

The visit aimed to facilitate in-depth dialogue with Asia University’s research team, during which Dr. Tsai shared his extensive experience in technology commercialization and intellectual property strategy. Discussions focused on bridging academic research with industrial applications and strengthening pathways for translating research outcomes into practical technologies.

Vice President Chun-Chieh Huang of Asia University noted that Dr. Tsai’s distinguished career across ITRI and leading enterprises provides valuable guidance for industry–academia knowledge transfer and talent development. Both sides exchanged views on strategies to narrow the gap between academic research and industry needs and expressed expectations for continued dialogue on potential future collaboration. Through such exchanges, Asia University aims to contribute to the cultivation of innovation-driven semiconductor talent with strong practical capabilities for Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.
