Asia University Revisits MIRDC, Deepening Cooperation and Exchange in Semiconductor and AI Smart Manufacturing
Following their initial visit on September 3, the Asia University team made a second visit to the Metal Industries Research and Development Centre (MIRDC) on October 14, 2025. They met with Deputy Executive Officer Wu Wei-Hung to exchange views on potential collaboration topics and share the university's ideas for cooperation in the fields of semiconductors and AI smart manufacturing.
During the meeting, the Asia University team outlined the university's development direction in semiconductor education, AI applications, and smart manufacturing, and introduced potential cooperation themes and research proposals. Both parties discussed feasible models for integrating academic research with industrial practice, exchanging opinions and exploring possibilities for future collaboration.
Deputy Executive Officer Wu Wei-Hung expressed his affirmation for Asia University's proactive approach to promoting cross-domain integration and industry-academia collaboration. He also stated that MIRDC will continue to pay attention to relevant cooperation directions, hoping to initiate concrete exchanges and collaboration in areas of mutual concern in the future.
This visit not only deepened the interaction between the two parties but also built upon the foundation of previous cooperation discussions, opening up more opportunities for potential future collaboration in semiconductors, AI, and smart manufacturing, demonstrating Asia University's continuous efforts to actively promote the linkage between industry, academia, and research.
