Vice President Huang of Asia University, together with Advisor Chiu, led a delegation from the Semiconductor Center to National Nantou Senior High School on February 4 for an exchange visit. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with Principal Liao Tsang-Hsiang and the school’s administrative team. Both parties reached a strong consensus on topics including the design of foundational semiconductor courses, the promotion of science outreach activities, and the sharing of university resources, with the shared goal of cultivating future talent for Taiwan’s technology industry.

Asia University’s Semiconductor Center continues to expand its collaboration with local schools in Nantou. Vice President Huang noted that semiconductors are not only a cornerstone of Taiwan’s economy but also an essential component of technological literacy for students. With comprehensive semiconductor teaching facilities and research capabilities, Asia University aims to bridge its resources with senior high and vocational schools, enabling students to gain early exposure to core concepts such as electronics and semiconductor devices during their high school education.

During the exchange, Principal Liao expressed a warm welcome to the Asia University delegation. He emphasized that National Nantou Senior High School has long been committed to fostering students’ diverse development and aptitude-based learning. As the technology industry continues to evolve rapidly, the school is actively seeking external professional resources. Through collaboration with Asia University, future initiatives may include semiconductor experience camps or guest lecture series, led by Asia University faculty, offering hands-on learning opportunities such as fundamental chip fabrication principles and basic circuit implementation, with the aim of inspiring students’ interest in scientific research.
