AU President Tsai Chin-Fa (center) welcomes visiting students from FPT University and inquires about their studies.

The visit included over a hundred students from semiconductor-related departments, led by FPT representative Jimmy Ngoc Le. On the morning of the 17th, they first visited ASE Technology Holding (SPIL), a major domestic semiconductor packaging and testing company, to learn about Taiwan's semiconductor testing and packaging achievements. In addition to being impressed by the related processes, what the Vietnamese students found most interesting and novel was the convenience stores, and their favorite was the tea-braised egg, because, "You can't eat it in Vietnam!"

In the afternoon, the FPT delegation returned to Wufeng for a quick introduction to AU's related institutions, including the AU Affiliated Hospital and the AU Museum of Modern Art, which drew exclamations from the students, who praised the "wonderful study atmosphere!" AU President Tsai Chin-Fa led the faculty team to welcome the visiting Vietnamese teachers and students. Many students proactively mentioned their enrollment in AI-related departments to President Tsai, who responded with, "AI good!" and encouraged them to consider studying at Asia University.

AU President Tsai Chin-Fa stated that the frequent close exchanges with FPT University represent a solid foundation for cooperation between the two institutions.

In his welcoming speech, President Tsai stated that he was delighted by the frequent and close exchanges with FPT University in less than a year, which represents a solid foundation for cooperation between the two universities. Vietnamese students at Asia University have performed excellently. The expansion of the partnership, starting with collaboration agreements for talent cultivation across departments like Semiconductor, Computer Science, Management, Finance, and Artificial Intelligence, marks a new milestone for both sides in expanding their partnership in teaching and research. They will now enter the implementation phase, focusing on student exchange, faculty exchange, curriculum co-development, and joint research, committed to cultivating professional talents that combine theoretical and practical abilities in line with today's AI mainstream trends.

President Tsai emphasized that FPT University holds a leading position in Southeast Asia's information technology education sector, and Asia University will provide maximum support to FPT University in terms of facilities, faculty, and curriculum. He expressed hope that more FPT University students would come to AU for exchange, while also creating more opportunities for AU students to study abroad, intern, and participate in international research.

Due to the large number of visiting Vietnamese students, the experience was arranged in rotating groups, allowing them to visit the Semiconductor Center, AI Workshop, Virtual Studio, and AI and Quantum Center. The Vietnamese students showed great interest in the diamond-cut wafer display inside the Semiconductor Center and the opportunity to enter the cleanroom fully dressed in cleanroom suits. They had a blast experiencing virtual scenes like roller coasters and climbing tall buildings in the virtual studio, and they eagerly lined up to try the rehabilitation device for lower-body paralysis, which allowed them to control games with their hands.

In the evening, a welcome dinner was held outside AU's College of Management. The gentle autumn breeze immersed the entire square in a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The welcoming dance performed by AU's Indigenous Dance Club heated up the scene, and the Vietnamese students engaged in a dance battle, showing the enthusiasm of young students, breaking down cultural barriers, and commencing close exchanges between the two universities.
