Wenhua Senior High School Faculty Visits Asia University Semiconductor Lab, Fostering Educational Exchange
On-site understanding of IC design to packaging and testing facilities strengthens collaboration on educational resources
To deepen high school teachers' understanding of university-level semiconductor education, Asia University (AU) "Semiconductor Experiment Center" hosted a visit by faculty members from Wenhua Senior High School on November 13. The exchange aimed to showcase the university's achievements in semiconductor teaching and research, and promote experience sharing between high school and university educators.
Proactive Strategy: Cultivating Core Talent for Taiwan's Technology
AU Vice President Dr. Chun-Chieh Huang previously stated that the semiconductor industry is central to Taiwan's technological competitiveness. In recent years, Asia University has actively integrated resources from various departments to establish the "Semiconductor Center" and the "Bachelor's Degree Program in Semiconductors," alongside building the "Semiconductor Laboratory." The objective is to cultivate interdisciplinary talent proficient in **IC design, wafer fabrication, and packaging and testing**.

Practical Connection: Touring Hands-on Teaching Environments
The visit by Wenhua Senior High School faculty embodies AU's commitment to educational resource connectivity. Accompanied by program faculty, the teachers toured the center's teaching and practical spaces, which included:
Key Facilities Visited:
- IC Design Workstations
- Wafer Fabrication Simulation Classrooms
- Packaging and Testing Equipment
Facilitating Transition: Extending University Resources Downstream
"We thank the Wenhua Senior High School faculty for their visit. The center's mission is to connect university resources with the industry and extend them downstream to high school education. We are pleased to open our lab, allowing high school teachers to understand our curriculum planning and practical environment firsthand, and jointly explore how to help students seamlessly transition into future professional education."
The visit concluded smoothly in a positive atmosphere, with productive interactions between faculty from both institutions regarding teaching experiences. The Asia University Semiconductor Center expressed its welcome to schools at all levels for future visits and collaboration, working together to advance Taiwan's science and technology education.
